Invention - Ultra-quiet generator Mark McIlroy 12.11.2025 Generators used for backup-power have a problem in that they are frequently extremely noisy. There are some quiet ones with a lot of padding in the cabinet however there is a limit to how much this can quiet the engine driving the generator. This idea is for an ultra-quiet engine that could be used to drive generators in settings such as dense residential areas with intermittent electricity supply. The design is: - A boiler heated by gas burning, driving a steam engine - Slowly rotating steam engine - Steam output captured and recycled to prevent the need for on-going water supply, and to prevent outputting steam into the surrounding area. - The steam engine driving a standard generator - The entire process optimised for minimumal possible noise generation
