Suggestion - disease treatment through a computer model of the human body. Mark McIlroy 4 August 2022 Develop a computer model of the human body with the following aims: - explain aging - explain the process of all diseases, and through that identify chemical compounds that could cure them. For example: Organs The heart, brain, etc Blood Muscles Nerves Skin Bones etc. Identify all chemical reactions occuring in each organ. External agents Bacteria Viruses etc. Include in the model the effect of the growth of external agents. Micro-level Develop a model of a living cell and identify all chemical reactions occuring in it. Possible organisational structure: A team of people for each organ A team of people for each external agent A team of people to model chemical reactions A team of people to model cell activity A team of people to develop the IT system Chemistry challenge: Produce a set of equations, an algorithm, or a description that can be turned into a computer program: Inputs: 1. Descriptions of 'n' arbitrary chemical compounds (e.g. two compounds and a catalyst) 2. The temperature. Outputs: A list of the chemical compounds that would be produced by reaction, if any, and the rate of production.
